Privacy Policy

This describes what we collect when you use RanchWeb, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written from what the site actually does rather than from a template, so if something here is unclear it is worth telling us.
What we collect, and when
We only collect information you type in. There is no advertising network on this site, no tracking pixel, and no analytics service following you between pages.

Who else sees it
Your enquiry goes to the ranch you asked about. That is the point of sending it, and once it reaches them their own privacy practices apply.
Beyond that, we use a small number of companies to run the site:
- Supabase stores the database and handles sign-in.
- Vercel hosts the website.
- Stripe handles payments on Luxury Ranch Real Estate. Card details are entered on Stripe’s own page and never reach us.
- Mailchimp sends the newsletter.
- YouTube and Vimeo host ranch videos. A video only loads when you click play, so nothing is sent to them if you do not watch one.
- Google Drive holds a copy of our own articles. It contains no visitor information.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Cookies and what is stored in your browser
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The site stores a few things in your own browser: whether you have already seen the newsletter pop-up, so it does not reappear on every page, and a sign-in token if you have an account. Clearing your browser data removes them.
How long we keep it
Newsletter subscribers stay on the list until they unsubscribe. Enquiries are kept while they are useful to the ranch and to us. Account and listing information is kept while the account is open. If you want something removed sooner, ask and we will remove it.
Your choices
Wherever you are, you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or send it to you in a usable form. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any issue, or by emailing us.
If you are in the UK or the EU, our basis for emailing you is your consent, which is why the form asks for it and records when you gave it. You can withdraw that at any time, and it does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

Children
RanchWeb is for adults planning travel. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, tell us and we will delete it.
Where your information is held
RanchWeb is based in California, and our suppliers store data in the United States. If you are writing to us from elsewhere, your information will be handled there.
Changes
If we change how any of this works, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
